It's been a long time comin'.. but I know, a change is gonna come

Ah, what an energy is out there today.  I feel the buzz all around.  Whatever your feelings about this President are, no one can deny the energy, the excitement, the big vast landscape of possiblities ahead of us that he has helped create. 

I, for one, am in awe at how many people are feeling this, and how many people spent yesterday in service, on a call from MLK back in the 60's and from President Obama now.  A man asks for people to serve and they DO!  Wow.  So much that I have learned through my yoga is about service and how important that is.  The fact that this country, and not just those small few, but many, are embracing this idea of service is mind-blowing and incredibly humbling. No matter what happens in the next 4 years, this alone could change so much.  Taking the focus off of I,me, mine and bringing it into the community, to serving, even in little ways, can shift so much energy in the right direction. 

Thank you.  To those that choose to serve, to those that helped make this historic day possible and to the many people that are on Gaia, aiding in this shift, this movement towards joy, community, love and spaciousness and away from fear, greed, smallness, and selfishness.  Let us continue this.  Let us be together on this journey, which is not always easy.  As our new president says.. sometimes with great difficulty, but also with great hope.
