What is the most difficult thing about your spiritual path?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 27, 2009:
I think it is as difficult as we make it! Is it difficult to be present? To meditate? To motivate myself to move and breathe mindfully on a daily basis? Sure. But the difficulty comes from my expectations of what a spiritual path should look like. We are all already perfect-we just have to be reminded of that-through chanting, through reading, through yoga, or whatever path we've chosen to reach the same mountaintop of bliss and transcendence.
Or something like that. Who really knows? I sure don't.

There is alot of truth in your first 10 words—well put.
I also agree there, Roamer.
I would also like to add, that the reason why we are here, is because we are Not perfect. Only God is perfect!
His/Her blessings, is what we now are capable of working towards…of a perfection.

Thanks Rita. Though in my spiritual views of oneness, we ARE all God/Divine/Source, whatever you want to call the largeness out there. We are not separate and there is no separation between me, you, or that God. So, in that vein, if God is perfect, than so are we! We just don’t remember and think we are separate through the veil of maya, or illusion. Once we remember, that is bliss/samadhi, laya, absorption into One,Heaven, and all those other names we call it. But you are right, the reason we are here in human bodies is BECAUSE we have forgotten and are working through our karma as many lifetimes as we have to! Much love and light,
Tasha
